You probably often need to systematically add a certain components to all your products or to all products in a specific category. Although these components are already present in your library, it is necessary to systematically add them to the Bill of Materials for each new product you create.

To save you time on this repetitive task, it is possible to create Bill of Materials templates called "BOM templates". In each template, you can group a set of components. Thus, when creating a new product, you can start building your Bill of Materials by importing the components from this template.

I will now show you how to create a BOM template, and then I will show you how to use this template to add components to a product's Bill of Materials.

Create a BOM template

To create a BOM template:

Open the “BOM Templates” tab
Click on “+ New template”



Then, name your template.



Once your template is created, you can:

Add components to this template
Click on "Edit" to rename or delete it

Use a BOM template to create your Bill of Materials

To add components to the Bill of Materials of a product from a BOM template:
open the “Bill of Materials” tab of your product
click on “Add from library”



Then open the table “Templates” in the “BOM Templates” section and select the template of your choice.
