Create and Manage Components Trackers
You’re likely already familiar with product trackers. In this article, we’ll discuss component trackers. The concept is the same as with product trackers, but here we’ll focus on creating lists of components.
To get started, in the (1) “Trackers” tab, you can create a new component tracker by clicking (2) “+ New Tracker.”
Then, select “Components tracker”.
Then, name your tracker here (1).
Now, let’s see how to add components to your tracker. If you want to select manually each component to be added to your tracker, click on (2) “Add components”.
Then:
Use the search bar to find your components
Select the components you want to add to your tracker
Click on “Confirm” to save your selection
You can also use filters to decide select the components to be visible in this tracker. Here you can filter the components based on:
- The component category
- The supplier
- Any labels you created to organise your products.
These filters can be used cumulatively; for example, to view a fabric produced with supplier ABC for the SS24 collection, you can select the following filters:
- Category → Fabric
- Supplier → Supplier ABC
- Collection → SS24 (Learn more about Labels here)
Once you have finished adjusting your filters, click on the button at the top right. This button will be called “Add tracker” if you are creating a new tracker or “Update tracker” if you are updating an existing tracker.
At any time, you can update the components included in your tracker or rename your tracker using the “Edit” button.
To adjust the product sorting, use the “Sort” button.
Several options are available for organizing your tracker:
- “No Grouping” → This option will simply display the list of selected components in your tracker.
- “Component Category” → this option will group the components based on their category.
- “Supplier” → If your tracker includes components from multiple suppliers, this option will group them by supplier.
Then, you have the “View” button, let’s have a look at it!
Here, you can customize:
the component properties to be displayed in the columns of your tracker
the tracker fields to be displayed in the columns of your tracker
Layout: several options are available here, whether you want to display your tracker as a table or with pictures of your product (list and grid options).
Finally, note that you component trackers are stored in a dedicated “Components” tab of the “Trackers” section.
