To add a component to your product:
Select it from the list (you can select several components)
Fill all the details about this components (if this component is available in several variations)
If relevant, fill the placement of this component on the product, the quantity required per product and add a note.
Once you have selected all the components you want to add, click on “+ Add to colorway” to add the components to the colorway(s) of your choice.
Here you are! Your bill of materials is now filled with the components you need!
If you want to add to your Bill of Materials a component that is not yet available in your libraries, you can create it directly from the Bill of Materials tab of your product.
First, click on “+ New”
Now, you can fill in the information related to your component.
If this option is checked, this component will also be saved in your library. You can then reuse it later for other products.
If this option is not checked, the created component will only be visible in the Bill of Materials of this product. This is particularly useful when you don't yet know the exact reference of the component you will use for this product. It allows you to create a component with a more general name that will not be visible in your library. You can then re-edit this component and check the option to integrate it into the library when you know more precisely which component to use for this product.
This allows you to keep an organized library with only real components.
Type: In this field, you need to select the type of component that corresponds to this new component.
You can then complete the information of your choice in the other fields.
Note that the only mandatory field in this section is the name of your component.
Click on “+ Add Component” to save it.
To edit a component, scroll to the right of the component, and you will see 2 buttons:
If you want to edit component information specifically related to this Bill of Materials.
Click here to duplicate this component in your Bill of Materials.
To remove the component from your Bill of Materials, select it (1) then click on (2) “Remove items”.
