In this article, you will learn how to create a template to export a tech pack.

You probably export tech packs regularly by selecting the same list of information each time. To save you time, you can create a tech pack template in which you specify the list of information to export. Thus, during your next export, you will just need to select this template, and your tech pack will be ready to be exported in a few seconds.

First, I will show you how to create a template. Then, I will show you how to export a tech pack using this template.

1 - Create a tech pack template

To create a tech pack template, go to the workspace settings:

Open the "Techpack Templates" tab
Click on "+ New techpack template"

In this page:

Name your template
Select the format of your tech pack and the list of information you want to export
Click on "Save template"

Your template is now saved! If you want to edit or delete it, you can click on the three dots to the right of the template.

When you generate a tech pack, the system automatically excludes all empty fields from the "Details" section from the export. Therefore, you don't need to worry about the fields you haven't filled in: they will be automatically hidden to ensure the generated tech pack is as clear as possible.

2 - Export a tech pack using a template

To export your tech pack using a template, simply follow the usual process by clicking on the "Preview Tech Pack" button.

In this page:

Select the template of your choice from the list
Confirm the creation of your tech pack
